FIBRE TO YARN PROCESS: Seed Fibre
1. Harvesting
Cotton pickers pluck the cotton bolls from the plants and harvest them in large bales
2. Ginning
Seeds and fibres are separated
3. Cleaning
Impurities are removes e.g. Seed residue, dust, dirt, …
4. Carding
Break up the balls of fibre and align them in one direction.

5. Combing (optional)
Removing short fibres, neps and leftover trash
high quality cotton
6. Drawing
Straightening out the fibres bring multiple slivers together to make one
7. Roving
Making the slivers smaller while keeping the integrity of the strand
8. Spinning
Turning the roving into yarn by winding them together
